Women’s Varsity Basketball – Head Coach

The athletic department is seeking a Women’s Varsity Basketball Head Coach.

The head coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, including the development of players, coordinating and running practices, being available for all practices and games, promoting the team within our community, and supporting all student athletes with their academics. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provide quality coaching and instruction to student athletes participating in the women’s basketball program. 
• Help develop, implement, and teach related basketball skills and fundamentals while also enforcing safety regulations and procedures. 
• Help schedule and run/supervise all practices and attend all home and away games (includes travel throughout the state). 
• Support students off the court by promoting academics and ensuring students are attending their classes and completing the necessary work for each course. 
• Create an inclusive and caring environment where all athletes feel welcome. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Knowledge of basketball skills and fundamentals 
• Knowledge of UHSAA and NFHS basketball rules and regulations 
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
