WATERFORD FUND FAQ

WATERFORD FUND FAQ

What is the Waterford Fund?

Every year, gifts to the Waterford Fund make a difference and allow us to provide meaningful educational opportunities for every child. We rely on the generosity of our community—parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the school. By making an annual gift to an area you feel passionate about, you play an essential role in making the Waterford experience possible. Every gift matters.

When does the Waterford Campaign begin and end?

The annual Waterford Fund campaign begins shortly after the beginning of every school year. We ask for all gifts to be made and pledges completed by June 30.

How much money am I expected to give?

The size of gifts to the Waterford Fund vary, but all gifts are important! We hope that you will give at the level that is right for you. Every contribution helps our students to thrive at Waterford.

Why is participation important?

High levels of participation shows the greater community that our constituents are willing to invest in the lives of today’s Waterford Ravens. It signals that our community has confidence in the mission of the school and in our strategic plan.

Does Waterford accept matching gifts from companies?

Yes! Many employers will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To have your gift matched:

  1. Check with your employer’s HR or benefits office to see if they offer a matching gift program.
  2. Complete your employer’s matching gift form (online or paper) and submit it with your donation information.
  3. Your employer will send the matching gift directly to The Waterford School once your gift has been verified.

If you need assistance, our office is happy to help with any questions.

What is the difference between a pledge and a gift?

A gift is a donation now. A pledge is your commitment to donate by June 30.

Can I make a pledge to the Waterford fund?

Yes! We ask for all pledges to be completed by June 30. You can make your pledge today.

Is my gift tax deductible?
