Waterford School seeks a full-time Middle and Upper School history teacher. This role will include teaching four or five sections of History. Teaching assignments will mostly fall into Middle School, which includes humanities, ancient world history, and medieval world history, though the ideal candidate would also teach a Class XII elective of the teacher’s choosing and design. A full-time teacher also serves as an advisor to 10-15 middle or upper school students, participating fully in the life of the department and the division, and embracing the Waterford mission, vision, and values.  This candidate would have the opportunity to join a robust history department that is committed to the subject and to continuously improving their teaching of history. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in history or an adjacent field. 

The successful candidate will be able to develop a healthy rapport with Middle and Upper School students, work collaboratively with colleagues in the department, and embrace Waterford School’s mission, vision, and values in curriculum, teaching, and membership in the community.
