Ashley Achee joined Waterford in 2021 and is in the process of completing her PhD in American History from the University of California, Irvine. She holds a B.A. in History from Scripps College in Claremont, California. Before moving to Utah, Ashley lived in Southern California for eight years, where she taught college courses at UC Irvine – ranging from American history to Animals, People, and Power. At Waterford, Ashley is teaching Human Geography, Debate, and a Senior Elective on race and gender in American history. Outside of teaching, Ashley enjoys fostering kittens and watching too much reality television. She lives in Salt Lake City with her fiance and their three cats.
