Remote Learning Continues

The Thankful Project

Friday, April 17, 2020

Over the years I have found the heart of student life rests on student wellbeing.  Being well and helping others be well is in fact the work of a community.  I have often talked to students about the power of gratitude to enhance their sense of wellbeing, so perhaps that is why this quote hit home: "If you want to wake up happy, go to bed grateful."  For a time our community exists only in a virtual world - but we can still help support our collective wellbeing by remembering that even in difficult times there is much to be thankful for.

While students are learning and faculty are teaching remotely, we asked them to share what they are grateful for, and there is much. Watch this video slideshow of our community.
