Waterford Outdoor Program Faculty bring a diverse and expansive set of experiences and training in wilderness exploration and outdoor leadership and education to the classroom and field. Outdoor athletes and backcountry enthusiasts, these individuals spend their free time mastering the skills and techniques they teach. As a result, they bring relevant leadership, keen enthusiasm, and the latest thinking, techniques and equipment to the program.
In keeping with Waterford School tradition, Outdoor Program Faculty are actively involved in many aspects of the school’s community life and education. Accordingly, they develop multi-faceted relationships with students in the Outdoor Program that extend well beyond the perimeter of Waterford’s campus. It is not uncommon for students to seek out Outdoor Program Faculty for academic, social and family advice, as well as to refresh their knowledge of a climbing knot or specific map and compass skills.
