We are seeking a candidate who is thoroughly prepared to teach a rigorous high school calculus-based physics curriculum. The ideal candidate would hold an advanced degree in physical science, or a related discipline, and would have at least two years of appropriate teaching experience. Engineering skills including CAD, programming, and fabrication are desired to support our competitive robotics program. The position will require teaching at both middle and high school levels. Specific course assignments will depend on the expertise of the candidate and the needs of the department.
The successful candidate will be able to develop a healthy rapport with students from ages 11-18, and will embrace Waterford School’s mission, vision, and values in curriculum, teaching, and membership in the community. A full-time course load entails full teaching responsibility for up to five courses, each meeting for one hour four times per week.
