THE WATERFORD FUND, EVERY GIFT MATTERS
The 2019-20 Waterford Fund has officially kicked off! Waterford, like most independent schools, relies on annual, tax-deductible gifts – in addition to tuition – to balance the budget each year and generate revenue that supports core activities, program enrichment, and school development. Tuition covers 94% of the school’s annual operating budget, while gifts to theWaterford Fund help cover the remaining 6%.
Support of the Waterford Fund demonstrates loyalty and commitment to Waterford's mission to provide a world-class liberal arts education. To help our donors make a difference, we have provided general categories where donors can designate (not restrict) their annual fund gifts. These categories include academic programs, arts, athletics, faculty/staff professional development, financial aid/scholarship, and technology.
All families are invited to support the Waterford Fund. Your participation, at any level, is what matters most. You have likely received an initial soliciation in the mail. Please donate below. Your gift matters—every gift matters.
We truly appreciate your gift, of any size, in support of our students and faculty. Thank you for supporting the 2019-20 Waterford Fund!
Your family’s gift supports our mission of providing students with a world-class liberal arts education that stimulates intellect, ignites passion, and shapes character.
All gifts to Waterford School are tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Waterford is a not-for-profit organization and is exempt from federal tax under section 501(c) (3) of the IRS Code. Please reach out to the Advancement Office with any questions or to learn more about the Waterford Fund.
EVERY GIFT MATTERS WHEN IT COMES TO...
Lifelong learning is at the heart of a Waterford education.
"My children have gained a deep love of learning and a driving sense of wonder and curiosity, which has transformed the way they see the world." - Heather Scott, P’28, ’30, ’32
Igniting passion is the foundation of Waterford's fine and performing arts programs.
"I always knew I loved theatre, but photography surprised me. To me, that's the most exciting thing about education. There are disciplines within the arts department at Waterford that will ignite your passion." - River Knight ’19
Waterford's athletic program shapes the character of our student-athletes.
"Our coaches know us well, on and off the field, and playing under their mentorship on an inclusive team has improved my game and given me confidence." - Hanna B. ’20
Where respect and inclusion make possible the deepest forms of intellectual, emotional, and character growth.
"As a community of learners, we know students thrive within a culture of kindness. Such kindness primes a classroom for inquiry, curiosity and risk-taking. It also positions students for supportive and meaningful relationships with peers and teachers that feed their minds and their hearts." - Nancy Nebeker, Dean of Students
