Tom Brennan has taught mathematics at Waterford for nearly two decades. He loves the relationship students at the school have with the teachers and he can’t imagine teaching kids at any other institution.
Tom grew up in Salt Lake and earned a B.S. as well as an M.S. from the University of Utah. He worked on his Ph.D. for several years there too, but the advent of one child, followed by another, and another…required his getting a real job doing what he loves most.
In addition to teaching math, Tom was the Mathematics Department Chair for 10 years. He and some colleagues ran a professional development program in mathematics for the Lower School. Also, Tom led a professional development program in math for his Upper School colleagues for several summers.
