Parker Swenson is the Assistant Band Director and Percussion teacher at Waterford. In addition to directing the percussion ensembles and assisting in the Class VI Band and Jazz Ensemble, Parker teaches the Class V Beginning Winds and Brass course in the Lower School. Since graduating from the University of Utah School of Music in 2018 Parker has been one of the first-call drummers in the state. He is on the music faculty at Westminster College and has presented masterclasses at Utah State University, Brigham Young University, and Utah Valley University. He is deeply passionate about percussion and has studied privately with two legendary drummers, Carl Allen and Kenny Washington. Parker is grateful to be a part of the incredible Music Department and to work alongside the dedicated, brilliant teachers and staff at Waterford.
