Natalie Sheffield

Science Class VIII Dean B.A., The College of William and Mary

Natalie grew up on the East Coast and graduated from the College of William and Mary with a dual degree in Environmental Science and Policy and English. After three years leading backpacking and leadership courses for students with the North Carolina Outward Bound School, she discovered she loved working with students and decided to pursue teaching at an independent school.

Natalie moved to drier and sunnier Utah to join Waterford in 2020. Because of her background in experiential education, she loves making science tangible through labs and projects, and enjoys sharing local geology and ecology with students in class and on field trips.

Outside of school, you might find her climbing in the desert, camping in the Uinta Mountains, or reading on the couch with her cat, Maple.
