Liz graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in French. She received a second Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at Utah State University. Liz taught fourth and fifth grades in Alpine School District for four years before coming to Waterford where she has worked for eighteen years as a Class V teacher and Director of the MS/US Tutoring Program. She has received training in the Wilson Reading System and the Higher Steps Reading program through the University of Utah Reading Clinic, and she keeps up on the latest reading research through attending conferences including the annual International Dyslexia Association Conferences. She enjoys guiding students to become proficient readers and witnessing the confidence and satisfaction that comes with it.
