Lisa Rands

Mathematics Class VII Dean B.A. Brigham Young University

Lisa Rands graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brigham Young University where she earned a B.A. in Math Education. Lisa also holds a Professional Educator License for the State of Utah with endorsements in Mathematics (Level 4) and Physics. After completing her student teaching at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah, Lisa joined the Waterford Math Department in September of 1999. She enjoys teaching math at all levels—from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus. In addition, she serves as Class VII Dean and has been involved with Middle School Student Government and Community Service for many years. In 2010 she received the Waterford Award for excellence in teaching. Lisa loves baking, biking, traveling, reading and gardening. She is a certified Master Gardener, and she enjoys taking classes during the summer from the Tanner Humanities Center at the University of Utah.
