Lisa Durst

Art, K-II M.B.A. Wilmington University

Lisa Durst teaches art to Waterford School’s incredibly imaginative Kindergarten, Class I and Class II students. She graduated from Grove City College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and with a minor in Fine Arts. She went on to work for Coca-Cola International, Smith & Nephew Medical Technologies, and Dentsply International in global marketing roles. Lisa completed her Masters of Business Administration at Wilmington University with an emphasis in marketing research. She was able to combine her business experience with her love for the arts by creating a highly successful dental restorative system with her patented shade guide that helps dentists restore teeth back to their natural color and shade. Lisa later founded a small business that crafts and paints Courage Boxes for cancer patients. For the past four years, Lisa has taught art as a substitute at the Waterford School and the Granite School District. Volunteering at Waterford is a passion for Lisa who has participated on the Parent Executive Committee, managed Lower School class art projects for Waterford School’s auction, and helped to initiate Spirit Week on campus. Lisa grew up in Ohio, lived in Pennsylvania and Delaware, but calls Utah home. She loves creating art in her “craft cave” and enjoys kayaking and hiking with her family – the Downard men and Oaki their beloved dog.
