Jen was born in Newport Beach, California, but grew up in Holladay, Utah. After more than 25 years of living away, she was happy to return to Utah in 2017. Jen has lived in California, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Utah, Guatemala, Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, and considers each place her favorite. She has taught in a variety of settings, from neighborhood preschools to foreign language institutes. Jen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with minors in English and Spanish from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, a Graduate Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Florida, and is at the tail end a Master’s Degree in Mindfulness Studies through Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jen has worked in both our Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 classrooms and loves spending her days with our youngest learners. When not finger painting or playing in the sand, she can be found enjoying time with her family, including her five sons. Jen is thrilled to be a part of the Waterford community.
