Dan Salerno earned his BA in Secondary English Education from the University of Delaware in 2013 and his MEd in ESOL Literacy from Wilmington University in 2018. Dan also serves as Waterford’s head rowing coach. Prior to joining Waterford, Dan taught in multiple high schools and middle schools in New Jersey, Delaware, and Utah. After graduating from the University of Delaware in 2013, Dan was accepted into Teach for America and was placed in the Delaware region where he taught middle school English for two years. Along with teaching, Dan has been coaching rowing since 2013. He has coached multiple high school and collegiate programs to national level success. Before moving to Utah, Dan lived in Seattle working for the University of Washington men’s rowing team and helped coach the team to an IRA National Championship in 2021. Dan is an avid sports fan and loves the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Boston Celtics. In his free time, Dan enjoys staying active by cycling, going on hikes, and skiing.
