Home Community Blog Waterford Rises – Exciting Developments On Campus

The campaign has now raised an incredible $26.3 million and is aiming to push well beyond the target of $27 million. All support is critically important and will go directly toward the development of critical infrastructure projects to transform our campus and shape Waterford School for generations to come.

Work has gathered pace since the first ceremonial shovel of earth was moved at the site of the new Science Center. Throughout the summer the construction site has been humming with activity, with the concrete foundations nearly complete and the bioswale earthwork underway. The geothermal drilling, an exciting element of the building’s forward-looking renewable energy design profile, will begin in late July.

When the new school year begins, students will see for the first time the footprint of the new building and be able to watch throughout the year as pillar-by-pillar this spectacular structure emerges. Witnessing the construction process unfold will in itself be a lesson in science, sustainability and technology.

This new state-of-the-art Science Center will bring flexible, world-class teaching and learning spaces to Waterford. The construction remains on-schedule for the dedication ceremony at the start of the school year in 2023.
