Home Community Blog Waterford Rises Capital Campaign Progress

The Waterford Rises capital campaign is thrilled to announce that our community unlocked the $1 million Miller Family Challenge match — meaning that every dollar donated from October 16, 2022 through January 20, 2023 was matched by the Miller Family to double the impact of gifts. During this window, our community donated $1,076,585. With 195 gifts, plus the $1 million match from the Millers, our campaign total has catapulted to $28,535,158, or 95% of our goal!

This capital campaign, already the largest in the School’s history, will transform our campus, supporting a new Science Center, a new Student Commons, a new Turf Field, and an expanded endowment. Construction of the state-of-the-art Science Center remains on-schedule for the dedication ceremony before the start of the 2023 school year.

To help Waterford get to our $30M goal, we are proud to announce a new community challenge gift. The $250,000 Mika Family Challenge, brought forward by Ron and Sue Mika, will apply to any new gift or pledge contributed to the Waterford Rises capital campaign. The first $50,000 of any new gift or pledge will be matched by Ron and Sue and will count towards unlocking the match.
