George Matus ’16 was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in Consumer Technology. 

George Matus, Class of 2016 was named as one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 young visionaries in Consumer Technology. Geoge is the CEO and Founder of Teal Drones, an innovative drone company "pushing forward the capabilities of flight." Teal Drones has developed two drone models to meet the needs of amateur drone pilots and racers alike. Click here to read more about George on Forbes. 

George was awarded a Thiel Fellowship in his junior year to fund his drone company, then called iDrone. While at Waterford, George was captain of the Ravens Robotics team and also competed on the second season of ABC’s popular show, Battlebots. George’s passions for drones, robotics, and business led him to establish his own drone company and pitch his dream to investors around Silicon Valley. As part of his Thiel Fellowship, George is deferring college to pursue his drone business full-time.
