Michael attended Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C.When did you come to Waterford, and why did you choose Waterford as your school?
I came to Waterford in Kindergarten, so I don’t think I was very involved in the decision to attend. That said, I have heard from my parents that the school was a major influence in their decision to move to Utah in the first place.

After graduating fromStanford, April joined a biotech compan.yApril Ray Foster (Class of 1999) is a Waterford alumnae and a graduate from Stanford University in Human Biology. While attending Stanford, she did research in cognitive psychology, worked in the Emergency Room as pre-medical intern, competed with the triathlon team and was the financial chair for Stanford Habitat for Humanity.

Ian Thompson ’00

Ian Thompson (Class of 2000) is a Waterford alumnus and a former scholarship recipient. He spoke at the 2013 Scholarship Dinner about his experience as a Waterford student.

Fifteen years ago, I arrived at the Waterford campus from Brooklyn, New York on scholarship. My mother was a nursing aid, and my father drove taxis for a living. For the most part, we lived a modest working class life.

Natalie Gould ’12

Natalie played Waterford sports as part of the soccer team and was involved in the photography program. Natalie Gould is a recent graduate of Waterford (Class of 2012). She attended Waterford from Grade 8 through Grade 12 and is now an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis. She is pursuing a PNP degree (philosophy, neuroscience and psychology).

Sarah Chen ’13

Sarah is studying at Ivy League school Dartmouth College after pursuing an olympic career in speed skating.Sarah Chen is a recent graduate of Waterford (Class of 2013). She is a member of the U.S. Short Track Speedskating team, and was an alternate for the Sochi Olympic Games. (She placed 4th at the U.S. Olympic Short Track Speedskating Trials and was named the Olympic Alternate).
